I wanted chicken the other night, but I was also feeling lazy and a little bit pressed for time. So I made this! I’m also being lazy right now and don’t want to write a lot. (What more is there to say?) Just keepin’ it real.
Throw all of this in a crock pot and cook on LOW for 8 hours:
4 lbs of pastured chicken pieces (with or without bones) (buy here)3 TBSP apple cider vinegar (buy here)4 TBSP grade B maple syrup (buy here)1-1/2 TBSP molassas (buy here)5 TBSP pastured ghee (buy here)2 TBSP fermented soy sauce (buy here)1-1/2 TBSP wild caught fish sauce (buy here)1-1/2 TBSP sesame oil (buy here)2 tsp ginger powder or fresh ginger (buy here)2 tsp garlic powder or fresh garlic (buy here)1 whole onion, choppedOptional: red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper, to taste Author: Courtney Alina

I do this a lot, probably once every couple months. One year I got really organized and canned several quarts of homemade barbeque sauce. Even easier. Open chicken, open jar, turn on slow cooker, tick tock…eat!
