Homemade Crème de Cacao: Ingredients
1 cup cacao nibs
1 cup high quality vodka
half a vanilla bean
2-½ cups simple syrup
Homemade Crème de Cacao: Instructions
- Combine the cacao nibs, vanilla and the vodka in a quart jar.
- Cover tightly and set in a cool, dark place at room temperature for two weeks.
- At the end of two weeks, strain out the cacao nibs and the resulting cocoa butter. Discard.
- Add simple syrup to the infused liquor and stir to combine. Cap tightly, and store at room temperature in your liquor cabinet.
