I’m officially in week 7 of chiropractic school, and I conquered 5 midterms last week! Four to go! Whew!
After getting my grades back from my first few midterms, I’m feeling pretty confident and happy so far! I just adore all of my school-mates. The people here are passionate and really wonderful, and I feel so blessed to spend so much time with them every day.
Going to school again means that I’ve had to pack lunches, and these days my storage-wares of choice are quart mason jars. They are glass, uniform, and easy to clean. I use BPA plastic lids, Cuppow drinking cup lids, and RECAP lids.
For the first couple weeks of school, I was carrying around my mason jars in a reuseable grocery bag. It wasn’t pretty. The jars kept falling over and clinking. They were loud and threatened to spill or make a mess. So I started looking for a solution and found Kim’s store A Tiny Forest on Etsy!
Kim makes all sorts of mason jar holders and custom tote bags with beautiful designs and fabrics. I contacted her about making me a custom bag for 2 quarts + 1 wide mouth pint mason, and she mailed me a beautiful custom bag in just over a week! Her service and quality was impeccable!
I told Kim that I wanted to write a post about the lunch tote she made for me because it has been such a blessing to have. It has made my life easier, and it makes me happy because the fabric is so cute!
The bag is fully washable, which is great because I’ve already spilled stuff on it. Haha. It’s soft and easy to carry, and I really like the price point. My bag cost around $30, which is an AMAZING VALUE considering it would cost me more than $30 in time and fabric to make it myself.
Kim DOES sell the patterns if you want to make it yourself, but just buying the bag right from her provided great value to my life. I’m so glad other people do things better than me. ;)
Kim originally created the bags to solve a problem for her family. She says, “We discovered about 10 years ago that our daughters are very sensitive to artificial ingredients in food (and I use the term “food” loosely). That started our journey toward better eating. Part of my motivation to create these bags is to make it easy for people to bring good food from home. With a dozen mason jars, you can make lunches for several days all at one time; for those who need to watch portion sizes, the measurements are often right on the jar.”
Since, I know most of you like to be thrifty, Kimberly has been so kind to offer a 10% off coupon to all my readers for her entire store!
Use coupon code: “REVIVED” for 10% off.
Please let me know in the comments if you get a bag from her and how you like it. I love mine!
I bought the patterns from her and LOVE it! These are so easy to make and fun too.
Oh my these are soo cute! I love my Etsy family and will definitely share these awesome tots and bags with my Etsy friends and local customers.
Being a green smoothie fanatic and always carrying at least two at a time these come in very handy. Will definitely try one and take a few pictures and post.
Blessings and thanks for sharing!
